The biggest difference between traditional and decentralised finance is the mandate. In traditional finance, institutions, markets & financial instruments, intermediaries always exist with centralized power. Meanwhile, DeFi leverages the power of Blockchain as transparency and centralism to eliminate these intermediaries.
Specifically, government or banks (CeFi) will be replaced by decentralized blockchains. CeFi assets will be replaced by tokens located in the Blockchain ecosystem. These token are decentralized. And DeFi’s mission is to provide access to financial services to users anywhere, whenever they just have the Internet.
In fact, DeFi has been growing very fast, all products and services in CeFi can be replaced with DeFi applications.
