Characteristics of P2P
Although P2P architecture has a dispersal, it is important to remark that there are a variety of diverse decentralized levels. Therefore, not all P2P networks are decentralized.
In fact, many systems control network activities by relying on a central system, resulting in somewhat having a centralization. For example, a number of P2P file sharing systems will allow the user to search for and download files from others; however, that user cannot enjoy other processes like managing the search process.
Additionally, small networks controlled by a small community of users with common goals are said to have a higher centralization level although there is no centralized infrastructure.
